PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mykhailo Yakovenko (ranked 4509 p4p, 3020 weight class) and Abdullah Keita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

Keita tries to bum rush Yakovenko with a series of wild strikes but Yakovenko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Yakovenko changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Keita tries to avoid it but Yakovenko manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Keita to the ground. Keita escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Keita with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Yakovenko to score with a decent uppercut.
Keita is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
