Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rusty Veronie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Groyce Racie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veronie misses with a few strikes there.
Veronie scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Veronie tries to clinch but Racie is having none of it.

and Veronie counters with a nice low kick that buckles Racie's knee momentarily.
Racie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Veronie is fending him off so far but Racie persists. Nope, Veronie circles away and we're back to standing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Racie is trying to control the action in half guard but Veronie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Veronie takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Racie closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Racie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Racie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Veronie knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Racie on the ground.

Racie drops back looking for a leg! Veronie is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Veronie manages to kick Racie off! Racie jumps back into Veronie's guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Racie throws a series of punches but Veronie avoids them all with ease.
Racie tries to clinch but Veronie moves out of range.
Veronie misses with a double jab
and Racie makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Racie is looking to clinch but Veronie is avoiding it.
Veronie tries to clinch up.
Racie goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Racie has Veronie up against the cage in a clinch.
Veronie tries for a takedown but Racie manages to get underhooks.
Veronie lands a knee to the body.
Racie tries to land knees in the clinch but Veronie avoids the damage to the body.
Veronie content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Veronie tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Racie smiles and moves away.

Racie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Veronie misses with a kick to the body.
Veronie looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rusty Veronie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Veronie tries to clinch there but Racie circles away.
Racie fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Racie is breathing heavily.
Racie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Racie is landing with some decent strikes but Veronie is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Racie seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Veronie is holding on tight.

Racie is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Veronie can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Racie throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Veronie has his hands clasped together but Racie breaks the hold and Veronie is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Racie!
