Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greg Weidman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Midas! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Weidman fails with the takedown and Midas counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Midas. Midas lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Weidman backwards. Weidman wants to break free but Midas has control.

Midas lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Weidman takes a knee right on the jaw!

That's one minute gone in the round. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Weidman taking a breather. Weidman tries for a takedown but Midas manages to get underhooks.

Midas throws a big right hand that misses. Midas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Weidman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Midas is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Midas slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Weidman is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Midas frees his head nicely. Oh but Weidman has switched to an armbar! Midas is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
