Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santiago is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kurko looks for a takedown but Santiago sprawls well.
Kurko shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Santiago as he avoids it easily.

Kurko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Santiago's waist but Santiago gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kurko off to one side.
Derek Santiago has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Olvi Kurko.

Kurko jumps guard but Santiago stands there with Kurko around his waist. Kurko gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Santiago is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Kurko has his hands clasped together but Santiago extends an breaks Kurko's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Santiago.
