Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stijn Vleghels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Hardy could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Stijn Vleghels's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vleghels shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hardy but Hardy pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Vleghels rushes Hardy and presses him up against the cage.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Vleghels has eaten all the pies!
Hardy can't break the clinch.
Hardy is looking to break free of the clinch but Vleghels has double underhooks.

Vleghels tightens his grip and picks Hardy up, before dumping him to the ground. Hardy manages to land in guard.
Vleghels won't allow Hardy to get back to his feet.
Vleghels postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Hardy is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Hardy is breathing heavily.
Hardy has momentary wrist control but Vleghels slips an elbow through the middle.

Hardy is looking to stand up but Vleghels isn't so interested in that idea.
Hardy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Vleghels lands a couple of digs.
Vleghels stands up over Hardy, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Hardy is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hardy utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Vleghels decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Vleghels shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Vleghels shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hardy pinned against the cage. Hardy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dan Hardy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stijn Vleghels.
Vleghels is looking to clinch.

Vleghels looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hardy!

Vleghels trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Hardy's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Vleghels is going olschool here, as he tries to force Hardy to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hardy shrugs it off.
Hardy is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Vleghels is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Vleghels!
