Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kaden Cottrell (ranked 5579 p4p, 4749 weight class) and Kim Kyoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

and Cottrell counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Cottrell shoots in but Kyoto avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kyoto looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Kyoto shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cottrell as he jumps to the side.
Kyoto should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Cottrell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cottrell's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cottrell connects with a nice short shot to Kyoto's temple.

Cottrell takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Cottrell is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kyoto to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kyoto shrugs it off.

Cottrell has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Cottrell is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kyoto can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Cottrell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kyoto tries to avoid it but Cottrell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kyoto to the ground. Kyoto escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cottrell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In his post fight interview, Kaden Cottrell started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
