Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between John Seed (ranked 5851 p4p, 6296 weight class) and Cam Velower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Seed! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cam Velower! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velower swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Velower tries to close the distance and clinch up but Seed swats him away and circles back towards the center. As Velower looks to move away, Seed throws a big counter combo but Velower just gets out of the way. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Velower shoots for a double leg takedown but Seed sprawls well. He's pushed Velower's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Seed really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Seed tries for a takedown but Velower sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Seed has taken the fight to the clinch.

Velower's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Seed tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Velower manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Seed tries to clinch up but Velower circles away and keeps his distance. Seed moves into the clinch.

Seed wants to clinch up but Velower keeps it at a distance. Velower shoots for a takedown but Seed saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Velower circles away from the clinch attempt.

Velower has his takedown stuffed and Seed counters with a two punch combo. John Seed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cam Velower. Velower shoots and misses and Seed counters with a head kick. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Velower. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Velower fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Seed tries for a takedown but Velower sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Velower with the counter takedown but Seed avoids it easily. Seed tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Velower paws at him with a jab and circles away. Velower circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Velower gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Seed counters with a three punch combo that has Velower backing up. Velower nods at Seed to acknowledge the strikes. Seed wants to clinch. And Velower tries to counter it with a takedown but Seed pushes his down on his head and steps out. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nice sprawl there from Seed as Velower shoots in. Velower fails with the takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Seed tries to sprawl out of it but Velower keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Seed manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Seed fails with an attempt to clinch.

Velower no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Velower has his feet on Seed's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Velower tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Seed swivels and escapes. John Seed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cam Velower. Seed moves into the clinch. Velower has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Seed is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Seed tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Velower wants to take the fight to the mat but Seed manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Velower is trying to pull guard but Seed turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Seed using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Velower has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Seed tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Seed with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Velower pulls guard effortlessly. Seed wants to get up but he can't break Velower's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Seed gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Seed throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Velower blocks it with crossed arms. A quick uppercut on the inside from Seed. Velower goes for a takedown attempt but Seed pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Velower changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Velower keeps the fight on the outside. Velower shoots in but Seed avoids the takedown attempt easily. John Seed is winning the standup battle so far.

Velower tries for a takedown but Seed circles away easily and Seed counters with a one-two to the body. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Seed tries to clinch up. Velower closes the distance and clinches up with Seed, looking for a takedown. Velower pushes Seed against the cage but Seed circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Velower swats away the attempt to clinch by Seed. Seed fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Velower, pushing him back against the cage. Seed tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Velower misses with a takedown attempt and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Seed closes the distance and pushes Velower back into the cage. Seed tries a knee to the head but Velower blocks it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Seed pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

And that's the end of the fight! John Seed showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Seed, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
