Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Vela (ranked 3205 p4p, 3871 weight class) and Blackout Mane (ranked 425 p4p, 489 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

Vela closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mane circles away.

Vela shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mane manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Mane has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Vela is proving hard to escape from.

Vela is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mane is aware though and is defending well.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Vela holds on and takes a little breather.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mane gets to his feet - Vela follows without any prompting.
The fighters circling - Mane throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Vela shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mane but Mane pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mane swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Vela changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Vela tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vela has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Vela has hold of Mane's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Mane seems comfortable defending it but Vela has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Mane is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Mane is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Vela couldn't care less - he's delighted!
