The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Begbie closes the distance and pushes Treadwell back into the ropes. Treadwell tightens his grip and picks Begbie up, before dumping him to the ground. Begbie manages to land in guard. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Treadwell has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Begbie looking for a sweep. Not yet Begbie, not yet. Treadwell works a leg free and moves into half guard. Treadwell is keen to just control but Begbie is a slippery customer. Treadwell passes to side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Treadwell looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Treadwell takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Treadwell looking to control but Begbie is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Treadwell working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Begbie turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Treadwell off and cradles Begbie's limp body as Treadwell celebrates with his corner.
