Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Osiris Wingate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre St Georges (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wingate's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, In The End by Linkin Park. St Georges comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I'm no superman (lazlo bane- scrubs theme) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Pierre St Georges is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Georges has managed to clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
St Georges looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wingate is fending him off so far but St Georges persists. Nope, Wingate circles away and we're back to standing.
Osiris Wingate has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pierre St Georges.
Wingate swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wingate bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
St Georges regains half guard.

Wingate is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Wingate is taking a breather. St Georges says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wingate lands a nice short elbow.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wingate seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but St Georges does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Wingate seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wingate is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Wingate knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for St Georges on the ground.
St Georges is looking to improve his position but Wingate isn't that keen on the idea.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Wingate trying to move into half guard but instead St Georges has managed to sweep!
St Georges postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wingate is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of St Georges, into his guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
St Georges isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Wingate stacks St Georges on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Wingate!

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

St Georges tries to clinch but Wingate moves away
and Wingate counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

St Georges escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wingate gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

St Georges bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wingate's guard.
St Georges is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
St Georges drops back looking for a leg! Wingate is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wingate manages to kick St Georges off! St Georges jumps back into Wingate's guard.
St Georges drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Wingate dives on top into guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Wingate avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

St Georges is looking for a triangle but Wingate pushes his legs off easily.
St Georges controls Wingate momentarily but Wingate frees himself.

St Georges moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Osiris Wingate will probably get the nod.
