PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dean Winchester (ranked 3451 p4p, 3345 weight class) and Rory Schafer (ranked 451 p4p, 439 weight class). Schafer has chosen Survival of the Fittest - Mobb Deep as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rory Schafer!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.

Winchester misses with a hook
and Schafer counters with a good low kick that Winchester was not able to check.

Schafer looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Schafer unleashes a big counter combination but Winchester bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Rory Schafer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Schafer lands with a shot to the body.
Schafer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Schafer dodges the punch combination from Winchester.
Winchester on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Winchester tries to move into range but Schafer moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Winchester drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Winchester drops his hands momentarily and Schafer takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Winchester is rocked!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Schafer circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Winchester to the canvas! Winchester doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Schafer keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rory Schafer!
