Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cody Lake (ranked 24003 p4p, 2014 weight class) and Ratchet ODoyle (ranked 598 p4p, 239 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lake is trying hard to land a takedown here. ODoyle sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

ODoyle darts in and clinches Lake up against the cage.
Lake is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

ODoyle manages to break the clinch.

ODoyle lands a big head kick that sends Lake tumbling to the mat! ODoyle takes a step backwards and waves Lake back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Cody Lake has been cut.
Lake walks into a jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
ODoyle throws a sloppy head kick and Lake moves out of range easily.
An attempted straight right counter from Lake misses the target.
ODoyle lands a body shot.
ODoyle will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lake has closed the distance and engaged ODoyle in a clinch.

ODoyle throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
ODoyle scores with a head kick.

ODoyle goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

ODoyle instigates a clinch.

Lake fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

ODoyle drops Lake with a beautiful combination! Lake stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - ODoyle is looking for the KO!

Lake is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lake takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Oh Lake is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Cody Lake's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

ODoyle closes the distance and pushes Lake back into the cage.
Lake seems to have got his legs back now.

ODoyle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
ODoyle lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
ODoyle lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lake circles away quickly and effectively.
Lake takes a head kick and keeps coming.
ODoyle pulls out of a head kick attempt.
ODoyle misses with a head kick.
ODoyle jabs Lake to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Lake shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as ODoyle sprawls well. ODoyle wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lake gets slowly back to his feet.
ODoyle has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Lake is landing a low percentage of strikes.
