Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kane Thompson (ranked 4524 p4p, 4555 weight class) and Ty Tor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Let's hope that Tor has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tor connects with a nice short shot to Thompson's temple.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Tor lands a nice short elbow.

Thompson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Tor.
Tor's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

It looks like Tor might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Tor is taking a breather. Thompson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Tor drops an elbow to the side of Thompson's head.
Tor lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Tor content to control rather than advance.

And Tor tries to counter it with a takedown but Thompson pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Thompson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tor as he jumps to the side.

and Tor decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Thompson's guard.
Tor is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Tor got a little sloppy there for a moment and Thompson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tor has managed to get both his arms back between Thompson's legs - danger averted.
Tor slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Tor has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Yet more stalling tactics from Tor.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Tor remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Tor is taking a breather. Thompson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Ty Tor is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Tor is nestled in close to Thompson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Tor takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Thompson has hold of Tor's hands but Tor slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Ty Tor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tor has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
