Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Walter Cren (ranked 4495 p4p, 4530 weight class) and Brandon Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Cren throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Thomas counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Thomas gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Thomas takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Cren digs a good hook to Thomas's body.

Thomas pushes Cren up against the cage in a clinch.
Cren is looking to break free of the clinch but Thomas has double underhooks.
Thomas is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thomas wants to take the fight to the mat but Cren manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Cren wants to break free but Thomas has control.
Cren is pressed up against the cage. Thomas has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cren down to the mat. Cren avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Walter Cren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cren will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Thomas shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cren pinned against the cage. Cren gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cren swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Walter Cren is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cren lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

It looks like Brandon Thomas has been cut.
No joy there for Cren, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Thomas changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Cren gets tackled into the cage by Thomas. Thomas maintains the clinch.

Thomas is working for takedown but Cren is calmly controlling the position for now.
Thomas tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cren just stands there and leans against the cage.
Cren is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Thomas prevents Cren from breaking the clinch.
Thomas is trying to drag Cren to the mat but Cren just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Thomas darts in looking for a takedown but Cren gets double underhooks and turns Thomas into the cage.
Thomas takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Cren looks to land a combination. Thomas sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Cren lands a nice looking body shot.
Cren throws a one two combo.

Thomas fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Thomas looks winded!
Cren misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A lazy left from Cren finds it's target.

Cren lands a left and a right that send Thomas crashing to the mat, dazed. Cren thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Thomas is rocked!

That has opened up Brandon Thomas's cut even more.
Cren cracks Thomas with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Thomas tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Cren pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Thomas is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
