CACC 140: Pavlov vs Lee PBP Commentary |
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 15 wins and 8 losses; Morrison Lee!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Pavlov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lee is trying to defend but Pavlov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Pavlov (2) vs (0) Lee

Lee felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

We've been hearing good reports from Pavlov's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Lee is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Pavlov rolls with it to try and escape but Lee cranks on the arm and Pavlov is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
