Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Reese (ranked 4804 p4p, 4664 weight class) and Vladimir Zhanna (ranked 503 p4p, 494 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Reese! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Zhanna! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zhanna shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Reese sprawls well. Reese wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zhanna gets slowly back to his feet. Reese dives in and scores a takedown into Zhanna's guard. Zhanna keeping moving, preventing Reese from controlling successfully. Reese stopping the sweep attempt from Zhanna. Reese stands and throws Zhanna's legs to the side, diving into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zhanna wants to get back to his feet but Reese drags him back down. Zhanna manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Zhanna is staying active underneath Reese, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zhanna is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Zhanna is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Reese wants to control but Zhanna is keeping him busy. Reese winds up and cracks Zhanna with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Reese is looking to take a break and control but Zhanna is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zhanna tries to kick Reese off but Reese keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Zhanna is holding on to half guard well. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Reese trying to control the action but Zhanna is working from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Zhanna tries for a takedown but Reese sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Zhanna gets a clinch. Zhanna escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Reese tries to close the distance and clinch but Zhanna swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Zhanna throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Reese's head. Zhanna tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Zhanna dives in for a single leg takedown but Reese sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Anthony Reese has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vladimir Zhanna. Zhanna stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zhanna wants it to stay on the feet. Zhanna changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Zhanna throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Reese drops down looking for a counter takedown but Zhanna sprawls and moves away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Zhanna is defended easily by Reese. Zhanna looks winded! Zhanna tries to keep at a distance but Reese has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zhanna breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Reese shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zhanna pinned against the cage. Zhanna gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Zhanna stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zhanna wants it to stay on the feet. Reese displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Zhanna. Reese is looking for a counter combo. Reese throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zhanna's waist but Zhanna gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Reese off to one side. Reese misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Reese shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Zhanna looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Reese! Zhanna just content to control the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. It looks like Zhanna might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Zhanna decides to stand back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vladimir Zhanna dominated that round. That's time! Reese's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Reese is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Zhanna has just dragged him back down to the mat. Reese wants to control but Zhanna postures up. Zhanna controls the position from side control. Anthony Reese overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Oh, that's unlucky for Zhanna but great work by Reese. Reese in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Zhanna is looking to reverse the position. Reese wants to control but Zhanna is keeping him busy. Zhanna is looking for a sweep. Reese throws an elbow but Zhanna slips to the side and avoids it well. Anthony Reese dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round! Nice sprawl there from Zhanna as Reese shoots in. Reese drives through with a takedown into Zhanna's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Zhanna thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Reese trying to control the position from guard on top but Zhanna is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Zhanna throws his legs up looking for a submission but Reese uses it to pass to side control.

Zhanna is trying to buck Reese off. Reese advances nicely into full mount. Reese avoids the attempt from Zhanna to control. Reese trying to control but he's not successful this time. Zhanna is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Zhanna slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Zhanna controlling the position well. Zhanna tries to roll over but Reese keeps him under control. Reese is nestled in close to Zhanna, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Zhanna is controlling Reese's trapped leg to prevent Reese from advancing to side control. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Reese connects with a nice short shot to Zhanna's temple. Zhanna is trying to stand.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Reese wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zhanna keeps working.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Zhanna gets caught napping as Reese dives in and scores a takedown. Zhanna manages to retain guard. Reese trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Zhanna wants to sweep but no luck. Reese is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Zhanna can do to turn this around? Zhanna is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Reese is controlling him. Reese controlling from the top position. Reese loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Reese shoots for a takedown but Zhanna saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Zhanna shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Reese sprawls well. Reese wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Zhanna gets slowly back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Anthony Reese showed his dominance in that final round. I think Reese has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
