Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kira Yoshikage (ranked 2526 p4p, 2434 weight class) and Waampa Woodoo (ranked 304 p4p, 296 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kira Yoshikage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Waampa Woodoo!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodoo gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Yoshikage counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Yoshikage.

Woodoo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Yoshikage is looking to work some ground and pound but Woodoo has wrist control.
Yoshikage has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Woodoo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Yoshikage is controlling him.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Yoshikage accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Woodoo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yoshikage. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Yoshikage is nestled in close to Woodoo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
We've been hearing that Yoshikage has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Yoshikage is looking for a kimura but Woodoo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Yoshikage to get the leverage.
Yoshikage is keen to just control but Woodoo is a slippery customer.

Yoshikage looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Woodoo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
