Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Sparrow (ranked 1742 p4p, 3845 weight class) and Hiki Antsa (ranked 209 p4p, 373 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Sparrow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hiki Antsa! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sparrow is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Antsa's half guard. Sparrow not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Antsa is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sparrow scores with a couple of nice shots. Antsa lands with a few short shots to the body. Antsa has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA Helsinki. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Antsa wants to improve his position but Sparrow is controlling well.

Sparrow has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Antsa manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sparrow is working the ground and pound from guard. Jack Sparrow dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Sparrow shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. No luck for Sparrow with that takedown attempt. Antsa was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Sparrow shoots for a double leg takedown but Antsa sprawls well. He's pushed Sparrow's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Sparrow. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sparrow shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sparrow was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Antsa can't do much from the bottom here. Sparrow works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Sparrow is working Antsa over with some ground and pound from side control. Sparrow landing a few strikes. Antsa can't do much from the bottom here. Antsa manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Antsa thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sparrow's head. Antsa wants to control but Sparrow is keeping him busy. Sparrow is looking for a sweep. Antsa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Antsa trying to control the action but Sparrow is working from the bottom. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Antsa lands a nice short elbow. Antsa slows the pace down in half guard. Jack Sparrow overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sparrow has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Antsa is working away from the top position though. Antsa tries to pass the half guard into mount. He's pushed Sparrow's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. And Antsa responds with a good body kick, but Sparrow manages to step out the way in time. Antsa stuffs the takedown attempt from Sparrow. Sparrow gets slowly back to his feet. Antsa feints the counter takedown. Sparrow shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sparrow showed some decent athleticism there. Sparrow is looking to pass Antsa's guard but actually Antsa recovers to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Antsa avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sparrow throws a big elbow that misses. Antsa wants to sweep here but Sparrow controlling him for the moment. Antsa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sparrow gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sparrow won't allow Antsa to sweep him here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sparrow scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
