The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Richards 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Richards cracks Barnes with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Barnes misses with a low kick.
A left and a right from Barnes both land. Nice combination.
Richards takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
We've been informed that Barnes has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Richards takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Oh Richards is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barnes closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Richards! Barnes dives in looking to finish! Richards is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
