Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hristo Mihailov!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ross Barkley!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barkley closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Mihailov tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Barkley smiles and moves away.
Barkley looks to score with a jab to the body but Mihailov is just out of range.
We've been informed that Barkley has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Mihailov misses with a body kick.
Barkley throws a nice looking combination but Mihailov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Barkley connects with the punch.
Barkley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mihailov, pushing him back against the cage.
Barkley lands a left hand that snaps the head of Mihailov backwards.
Mihailov blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Barkley throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Mihailovs head.

Barkley swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Mihailov is trying to pull guard but Barkley turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Barkley's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Barkley misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Mihailov is trying to get back to his feet.

Mihailov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Barkley on the ground.
Barkley takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Barkley looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mihailov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Barkley is nestled in close to Mihailov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Mihailov is staying active underneath Barkley, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Barkley passes to full mount!
Mihailov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

BOOM! Barkley connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Mihailov takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Barkley lands a big shot to the head and Mihailov winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
