Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Athos Knox (ranked 1081 p4p, 1526 weight class) and Murilo Ninja (ranked 150 p4p, 212 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Knox might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Click Click Boom | Saliva. Athos Knox is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Athos Knox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Murilo Ninja!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ninja has time to react.
Ninja lunges at Knox with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Knox's hand.

It looks like Athos Knox has been cut.
Knox's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ninja connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Knox scrambles back to his feet.
Ninja walks into a stiff left hand from Knox.
Ninja shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Murilo Ninja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knox steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ninja.

and Knox counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ninja throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Knox is looking to counter punch.
Knox slips a jab from Ninja.
Knox was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Knox throws a hook but Ninja blocks it.
A combination from Ninja does no damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ninja tries to close the distance and clinch but Knox swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Knox stuns Ninja with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Ninja throws out a loose jab but Knox uses good head movement to avoid it.
Knox appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Knox lands a jab to the nose.

Knox walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Ninja takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Ninja pushes Knox up against the cage in a clinch.

Ninja looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Knox prevents a body shot from Ninja.
Ninja goes for a takedown in the clinch but Knox prevents it.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Knox pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Ninja misses with a right hand
and Knox connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Knox lands with a cross.
A looping hook to the body misses from Knox. Ninja does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ninja feints the counter takedown.

Knox misses with a hook.
Knox is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Ninja throws a body punch but Knox moves out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Knox misses the target.
Ninja misses with a straight right.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Knox displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ninja.

enabling Knox to counter with a crisp jab.

and Knox counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Knox swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Knox avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ninja thows a left - swing and a miss!

Knox connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ninja momentarily.
Ninja doesn't manage to clinch there - Knox circles away.

Ninja rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Knox counters with a stiff right hand.
We've been told by Knox's head coaches at Underground Rio that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Ninja wants to clinch.

Knox scores with a hook to the body. Ninja takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Ninja on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Ninja swings widly with a right hand
and Knox counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Ninja out cold! What a finish! Knox is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Athos Knox!
