Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Victor Viden (ranked 3650 p4p, 4897 weight class) and Nick Name (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Victor Viden! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Name! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.

Name looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Viden turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Viden tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Viden working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Viden seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Name has hold of Viden's hands but Viden slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Victor Viden dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Viden tries to clinch but Name moves out of range. Name changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Viden fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Name to the ground. Viden is now in Name's guard. Viden showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Name looking to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Viden has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Viden closes the distance and clinches. Viden is trying to drag Name to the mat but Name just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Name goes for a takedown in the clinch but Viden prevents it.

Viden shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Name has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Viden is working away from the top position though. Viden controlling the action here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Viden sitting and controlling from the half guard. Name looking for submissions from an awkward position here. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Viden wants to advance to full mount but Name doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Victor Viden is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Viden might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round.
