Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Willy Kimber (ranked 5297 p4p, 5500 weight class) and Rally Cross (ranked 532 p4p, 546 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Willy Kimber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rally Cross!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.

Cross goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Kimber rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Cross's guard! Nice work there by Kimber!

Cross is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kimber is aware though and is defending well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Kimber changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cross tries to avoid it but Kimber manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cross to the ground. Cross escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Cross shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kimber is trying to defend but Cross finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Cross gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Kimber wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cross, who protects the arm well.

Kimber misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Cross is not content to let Kimber control the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kimber swings around for an armbar but Cross sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kimber's guard.
Cross has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Kimber is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Kimber doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Kimber is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Rally Cross showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Cross moves in looking to clinch but Kimber pushes him off.
Cross tries a head kick but it misses.
Kimber attempts a counter takedown but Cross avoids it well and moves away.
Kimber shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Cross closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kimber did well to prevent Cross getting side control.

Cross wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Kimber uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Cross stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kimber swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cross avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kimber throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Kimber doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Cross shoots in and bounces Kimber off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Cross not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Cross takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Kimber has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cross can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Willy Kimber has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Rally Cross is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Cross not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Well Cross has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
