Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Black (ranked 3719 p4p, 4032 weight class) and Marcelinho Lima (ranked 406 p4p, 431 weight class). Black comes to the cage accompanied by Manu Chao - Mr. Bobby. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lima connects with a leg kick.

Black feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lima is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Black throws a big elbow that misses.

Lima looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lima holds on and takes a little breather.
Black wants to control from the top but Lima keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lima looking to hit a scissor sweep but Black is one step ahead there.

Lima has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Black can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Black is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Black postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Black postures up and lands a big shot to Lima's brow.
Black could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Lima has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Black is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Lima told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Black misses with the head strike.

Lima manages to pull guard.
Black wants to control from the top but Lima keeps moving.
Black throwing strikes but missing.

Lima escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Black gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lima pushes a forearm under Black's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Black is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
