Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stipe Velasquez (ranked 22184 p4p, 2169 weight class) and Harold Zoid (ranked 552 p4p, 239 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Velasquez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to OC Guns, by The Offspring. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zoid manages to avoid it.
Zoid lands a lovely overhand right.
Velasquez throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Velasquez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Zoid.
Zoid throws a hook but Velasquez avoids it easily.
Velasquez was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Zoid scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Zoid is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Velasquez had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Zoid takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Zoid throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Zoid swings for the body but Velasquez moves out of range.
Velasquez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Decent striking displayed by Zoid there.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Zoid counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Harold Zoid dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Zoid in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
Velasquez takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Zoid lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Velasquez - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Zoid!

Harold Zoid was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
