Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ragen Reilly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bill Dance! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reilly throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Reilly tries to clinch but Dance moves out of range. Reilly moves out of range of the body kick from Dance.
Reilly misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ragen Reilly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reilly throws a leg kick that misses. Reilly misses with a wild combination.
Reilly gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Dance is in close to Reilly's body, working some short punches and elbows. Dance connects with a couple of short punches. Dance working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Reilly's head. Reilly is trying to keep Dance in close.
Reilly looking for a sweep. Not yet Reilly, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reilly is looking to stand up but Dance isn't so interested in that idea. Dance advances position into side control! Reilly is working to avoid the ground and pound but Dance connects with a decent elbow. Reilly taking a bit of punishment here - Dance scoring with strikes. Dance is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Dance working the ground and pound. Dance looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Reilly knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dance on the ground. Dance is looking to take a break and control but Reilly is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dance works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dance in side control lands a decent elbow. Reilly looking for a sweep but Dance has passed into full mount! Oh no! Dance with the ground and pound from mount. Dance lands with some strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Reilly is trying desperately to improve position. Dance unloading with bombs! Dance with good strikes from the mount here!
Reilly is rocked! Dance is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Reilly goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Dance!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Bill Dance!
