The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baracuta scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Adesanya avoids the body shot from Baracuta.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Adesanya! But no joy.
Baracuta looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Adesanya looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Adesanya tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Baracuta manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Baracuta pivots, looking for a leg kick but Adesanya is out of range and Baracuta settles back down.
Adesanya throws a nice looking combination but Baracuta bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Crass Baracuta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looked like Baracuta wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Baracuta thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Adesanya if he has to take too many more of those.

Baracuta throws out a head kick that Adesanya doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Adesanya crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Adesanya's eyes and has decided to let it go on!

It looks like Baracuta has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Baracuta fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Adesanya manages to avoid it.

Adesanya walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
