Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Crown Halo (ranked 2531 p4p, 17784 weight class) and Brian Baker (ranked 297 p4p, 616 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 25 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Crown Halo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 15 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brian Baker!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halo throws a push kick but Baker slaps the foot to one side.
Baker has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Halo finds it's way round the side to connect with Baker's head.
Halo throws a big shot that misses.
A nice side step and Baker releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Baker ducks under a wild hook from Halo.
A looping hook to the body misses from Halo. Baker does a little dance to reset his feet.
Halo moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Halo tries to land a body kick
and Baker counters with a stiff right hand.
Halo scores with a jab. Baker acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Baker throws out a loose jab but Halo uses good head movement to avoid it.
Halo swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Halo slips a jab from Baker.
Halo appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Halo's jab looks to have found its range, popping Baker under the eye.
Baker loads up on a big right hand but Halo slips the punch.
Baker moves out of range as Halo throws a body kick.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Baker! But no joy.
Crown Halo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from Halo finds it's way through Baker's defenses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Halo fails to land with a series of punches.
Baker looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Halo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Halo takes a swing at Baker's ribcage but misses.

Baker pushes Halo up against the ropes in a clinch.
Baker is struggling to control the position.
Baker's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Halo is trying to maintain a safe position but Baker gets an underhook and turns Halo into the ropes.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Halo obliges.

Halo with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Halo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Baker's head backwards.
Halo throws a body kick that misses.
Halo lands the left hand.
A left lands for Halo.
Halo looks to score with a jab to the body but Baker is just out of range.
Halo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Baker.
Halo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Halo turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Baker takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Baker lands a slapping body shot.
Halo scores with a hook to the body. Baker takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Halo throws a sloppy head kick
and Baker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fight stays on the outside here - Halo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Halo is looking to chop away at Baker's legs.
It seemed like Baker was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Baker moves forwards but Halo connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Halo goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Halo tests Baker's chin there with a solid looking shot.

and Baker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Halo throws a head kick that half lands.

and Baker counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Halo thinking.

Halo misses with a shot to the body
and Baker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Halo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Baker. Baker circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Halo throws a body shot but no joy.
Halo throws a chopping leg kick but Baker manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Halo throws a shot from downtown. Baker moves away and avoids it.
Baker now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Halo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Baker.
Halo lands a nice hook to Baker's body. Baker takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Halo throws a head kick that Baker semi-blocks.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Baker lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Halo is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Baker is keeping busy.

I would just about give that final round to Brian Baker.
Well Halo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
