Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Walter Hamilton (ranked 4583 p4p, 3796 weight class) and Stephen Stephenson (ranked 522 p4p, 460 weight class). Hamilton's entrance music is A Perfect Circle - Hourglass. A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

Hamilton wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Stephenson manages to pass to side control.
Hamilton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stephenson on the ground.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stephenson connects with a nice short shot to Hamilton's temple.

Stephenson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Stephenson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Stephenson works his way into side control.

Hamilton takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stephenson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Oh Hamilton is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hamilton is breathing heavily.
Stephenson lands a strong strike to the head of Hamilton. That's dazed him! Stephenson looking to finish here. Hamilton is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Stephenson lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
