Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Irish Power (ranked 6672 p4p, 4732 weight class) and Winston Cooper (ranked 474 p4p, 414 weight class). Winston Cooper told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

Cooper tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Power throwing a counter right hand but Cooper manages to avoid it.
Cooper steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Power.

and Power counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Cooper takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cooper tries to clinch up but Power circles away and keeps his distance.
A little feinted left hand from Power on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Cooper tries to close the distance and clinch up but Power swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Donk. Power catches Cooper right on the button with a cross.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big right from Power misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cooper looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A little feinted left hand from Power on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Cooper walks into a jab.
Power avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cooper tries to close the distance and clinch but Power swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Cooper moves into range and clinches up with Power.
Power is trying to push Cooper away but Cooper has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Power tries to break free but Cooper pushes him back against the cage.
Power lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Cooper is rocked!
Power dodges an elbow strike from Cooper.
Cooper is still on wobbly legs! Can Power finish him?

Power's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Power cracks Cooper with a left hook right on the temple and Cooper goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Power lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Cooper is OK!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Irish Power!
A pretty intense looking Irish Power took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
