This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 25 wins and 7 losses; Ibbe Ribbler! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 33 wins and 20 losses; Matvey Pavlov!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Pavlov shoots in but Ribbler avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Pavlov or perhaps it was just good defense by Ribbler, which made it look bad.

Ibbe Ribbler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matvey Pavlov.

Let's hope that Pavlov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
It looks like Pavlov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
