Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Josh Roughan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bobby Bowen Jr!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Bowen Jr.

Roughan is trying to break the clinch but Bowen Jr has him pressed against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bowen Jr is leaning against Roughan and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Bowen Jr has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Roughan is proving hard to escape from.

Bowen Jr stands and steps away. Roughan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Roughan tries to close the distance and clinch but Bowen Jr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Roughan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bowen Jr's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Roughan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bowen Jr is looking to stand up but Roughan isn't so interested in that idea.

Roughan shoots for a double leg takedown but Bowen Jr sprawls well. He's pushed Roughan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bowen Jr's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Roughan blocks the body kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Josh Roughan will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Roughan goes for a takedown attempt but Bowen Jr pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Roughan tries to pull guard but Bowen Jr holds him up against the cage and eventually Roughan drops back down to his feet.
Still in the clinch, Bowen Jr scores with a nice short uppercut.
Roughan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bowen Jr walks away with a smile on his face. Roughan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Roughan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Roughan is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Bowen Jr just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Roughan has gone limp and this one is over!
