Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Percival James (ranked 5305 p4p, 4640 weight class) and Hyatt Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hyatt Wayne will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Percival James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hyatt Wayne! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Ron Honeybunn and Eliza Hachem.

Wayne rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but James moves out of range and avoids them all easily. James half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. James takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Wayne keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
James shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Wayne throws a good cross that connects.

It looks like Percival James has been cut. Nice cross by Wayne. Wayne lands with a cross. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wayne misses with a series of wild punches.

and James counters with a shoot takedown. Wayne fights it but they end up in guard. Wayne keeping moving, preventing James from controlling successfully. James drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and James jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. James seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. James looking to pass the guard. James pushing down on Wayne's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Wayne is staying active underneath James, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wayne can do anything to dispel that myth. James is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wayne sees it coming and defends easily. Wayne trying to hold on to James's head to control him but James postures up.
Wayne is controlling James's trapped leg to prevent James from advancing to side control. James frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. James is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Wayne to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Wayne shrugs it off. James trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Wayne has his hands clasped together but James breaks the hold and Wayne is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by James!
