Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Eikmeyer (ranked 1181 p4p, 3407 weight class) and Augusto Pinochet (ranked 136 p4p, 448 weight class). Pinochet has chosen I Need a Pinochet as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 40 - 61 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mario Eikmeyer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Augusto Pinochet!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eikmeyer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pinochet as he jumps to the side.

Eikmeyer drives through with a takedown into Pinochet's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Eikmeyer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Eikmeyer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Eikmeyer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Eikmeyer drops back looking for a leg! Pinochet is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pinochet manages to kick Eikmeyer off! Eikmeyer jumps back into Pinochet's guard.

Eikmeyer thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Pinochet scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Nice shot lands for Pinochet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Eikmeyer is defended easily by Pinochet.
Eikmeyer gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Pinochet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pinochet displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Eikmeyer.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Pinochet! But no joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mario Eikmeyer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pinochet wants to slow Eikmeyer down by chopping away at his legs.
Eikmeyer changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Pinochet connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Eikmeyer takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Pinochet listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Eikmeyer fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Pinochet swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Pinochet with the inside leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Eikmeyer.
Pinochet scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Eikmeyer doesn't seem bothered though.
A low kick lands for Pinochet.
Eikmeyer looks for a takedown but Pinochet sprawls well.
Pinochet takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
That kick from Pinochet tenderised Eikmeyer's leg. Eikmeyer is trying to keep his angry face on.

Eikmeyer shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pinochet manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Pinochet has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Eikmeyer has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pinochet cracks Eikmeyer with a nice body shot.
Pinochet digs a right hand underneath Eikmeyer's ribcage. Eikmeyer let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Eikmeyer is breathing heavily.
Pinochet prevents the takedown attempt.
Pinochet lands a right hand that snaps the head of Eikmeyer backwards.
Come on Pinochet - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Pinochet gets through Eikmeyer's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Pinochet escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Eikmeyer takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Augusto Pinochet dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Good exchange - Pinochet coming out on top.
Eikmeyer looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Pinochet sizes up Eikmeyer with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Eikmeyer is rocked!
Eikmeyer on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Eikmeyer doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Pinochet lands a nice shot that snaps Eikmeyer's head back.
Oh Eikmeyer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
BAM! Pinochet delivers a spinning backfist that drops Eikmeyer like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Spinning Backfist). Augusto Pinochet!
