Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terryn Dall (ranked 2346 p4p, 2774 weight class) and Ivan Dorn (ranked 271 p4p, 328 weight class). Dorn is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hero. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 36 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Terryn Dall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 23 - 19 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ivan Dorn! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dall stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Dorn tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dall defends well and Dorn ends up having to push Dall into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Dorn tries to bum rush Dall with a series of wild strikes but Dall uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Dorn slips a jab and a cross from Dall.
Dorn throws a hook to the side of Dall's head but Dall sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Dall gets caught flat footed, as Dorn shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dall has his foot on Dorn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dorn works his way back into a safe position though. Dall keeping full guard, as Dorn tries to pass. Dorn is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Dorn takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Dall looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Dall is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dorn is just riding it out for now. Dall eventually gives up the hold. Dorn looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Dorn is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dall pulls his head out easily. Dall seems to be working for a kimura but Dorn defends the submission attempt. Dall is looking for a kimura but Dorn is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dall to get the leverage. Dall trying to control from half guard but Dorn is working away. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Dorn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dall paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dorn moves into the clinch. Dall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Dall is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Dorn fails to land the takedown. Dall appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Dall rushes Dorn and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Dall lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Dall jumps guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dall keeping full guard, as Dorn tries to pass. Dorn thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Dorn throws a big right hand that misses. Dorn sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dall's guard. Dall is defending against the submission attempts here by Dorn.
Ivan Dorn is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Dorn takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Dall has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dorn is working away from the top position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dall moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Dorn looking to pass the guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Terryn Dall. I think Dorn has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
