Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jure Jez (ranked 6032 p4p, 6431 weight class) and Raymond Maximus (ranked 608 p4p, 623 weight class). Maximus has chosen Heavy Rain by Solence as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jez looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Maximus counters with a nice uppercut.
Jez fails to land with a series of punches.

Jez forces Maximus back against the cage and clinches.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Jez just misses with a elbow thrown towards Maximus's brow.

Maximus's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jez closes the distance and clinches.
Maximus is trying to pull guard but Jez turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Jure Jez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raymond Maximus.

Jez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jez lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Maximus backs up against the cage.
Maximus goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

It looks like Jure Jez has been cut.

Maximus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jez, pushing him back against the cage.
Jez is trying to break the clinch but Maximus has him pressed against the cage.

Jez tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Maximus manages to break the clinch.

Jez postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Maximus to stand up.
Jez fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Maximus avoids the head kick by Jez.
Maximus is looking to clinch.
Jez bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Maximus takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Jez moves into range and clinches up with Maximus.
Maximus is trying to pull guard but Jez turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Maximus tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jez paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jez dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Jez has taken the fight to the clinch.

Jez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Jez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Maximus tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jez is in Maximus's guard.
Jez connects with a couple of short punches.
Jez is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Maximus wants to stand but Jez is controlling the position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jez won't allow Maximus to sweep him here.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jure Jez dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jure Jez's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Jez gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Maximus pushes off an throws an elbow but Jez leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Jez breaks from the clinch.
Jez misses with a series of wild punches.
A punch combination from Jez misses.
A little jabbing left from Maximus on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Maximus throws a head kick that misses.
Jez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Maximus can do to turn this around?

Oooooh!!! Jez has knocked Maximus down with a huge combo! Jez steps away and waves a wobbly Maximus back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Maximus is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Maximus throws a head kick but Jez moves out of range.
Maximus is still on wobbly legs! Can Jez finish him?

Jez instigates a clinch.

Jez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jez lands with a big right hook that stumbles Maximus - he's out on his feet here! Jez follows up with another monster hook that separates Maximus from consciousness! Maximus falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Jez stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jure Jez!
In defeat, Raymond Maximus stepped up to the mic, saying 'It sucked, but here's the thing. I actually benefit more by losing because it teaches you to push yourself harder. Thank you guys!'.
