The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medvedevs tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Stotts defends well and Medvedevs ends up having to push Stotts into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Medvedevs lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Medvedevs's coach down at Battle Science was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Medvedevs's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Stotts closes the distance and clinches.
Stotts is working Medvedevs over against the cage.
Stotts scores with a nice hook to the head.
Stotts presses Medvedevs against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Medvedevs is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Stotts breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Stotts lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Stotts throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Stotts digs a right hand into Medvedevs's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Medvedevs's gas tank.

Stotts presses Medvedevs against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Stotts lands a body punch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Stotts.
Stotts lands with a short shot to the head.
Stotts lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Medvedevs backwards.

Medvedevs is rocked!
Stotts lands a body shot in the clinch.
Stotts creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Medvedevs with a big uppercut! Medvedevs tries to clinch up but Stotts pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Medvedevs to the mat! Medvedevs covers up and Stotts unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
