Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Ragout Mendy (ranked 1027 p4p, 2056 weight class) and Don Barnes (ranked 150 p4p, 285 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pierre Ragout Mendy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Don Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mendy.

Mendy sneaks out the side door and pushes Barnes away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

It looks like Pierre Ragout Mendy has been cut.
Mendy shoots in looking for a takedown. Barnes tries to sprawl out of it but Mendy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Barnes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mendy avoids a punch combination nicely.
Barnes is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Barnes moves out of range as Mendy strikes.
Mendy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Barnes moves in looking to clinch but Mendy pushes him off.
Mendy shoots in for a double leg but Barnes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Barnes throws out a counter right but Mendy avoids it with no problem.

Barnes closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Barnes lands in his opponent's guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

A punch lands to the side of Mendy 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Barnes lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mendy at a distance.
Barnes lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Barnes.
Oh Mendy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mendy throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Barnes on the side of the head.
Mendy tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

A relieved looking Don Barnes thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
