Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Spears (ranked 3580 p4p, 3740 weight class) and Tony Harrington (ranked 465 p4p, 480 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Spears!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Harrington!

Spears looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Harrington with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Harrington is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Harrington is refusing to be controlled, as Spears sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spears tries to stand but can't do so whilst Harrington controls his leg.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Harrington shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Spears would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Spears lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Harrington takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Spears throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Harrington on the side of the head.
Spears lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tony Harrington has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
