Frost slips a jab from Mendoza.

Mendoza jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Mendoza is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

A quick step to the side and Mendoza tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mendoza uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Frost has time to react.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Frost is defended easily by Mendoza.
Frost ducks straight into an uppercut from Mendoza and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Frost manages to regain guard straight away.

Mendoza is looking for the choke from the back position but Frost is controlling his hands well.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mendoza is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Frost defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Mendoza lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Frost falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

Luiz Mendoza was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
