Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bjorn IronSide (ranked 24029 p4p, 24053 weight class) and Bsmds Nasmfus (ranked 670 p4p, 654 weight class). Bsmds Nasmfus has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nasmfus is looking to clinch but IronSide is avoiding it.
Nasmfus tries to clinch there but IronSide circles away.

Nasmfus moves into range and clinches up with IronSide.
Nasmfus is trying to drag IronSide to the mat but IronSide just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Nasmfus pulls guard.
Nasmfus tries to land a sweep but no joy.
IronSide wants to control from the top but Nasmfus keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nasmfus is looking to stand up but IronSide isn't so interested in that idea.
Nasmfus is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nasmfus seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Nasmfus is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

IronSide controlling the pace for now.
IronSide misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

The referee warns Nasmfus that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

IronSide is trying to work for a kimura but Nasmfus is defending well.
IronSide seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nasmfus does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are battling for position here. Nasmfus manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
IronSide postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
IronSide is stalling in the full guard.
Nasmfus is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

IronSide makes his way to full guard. A much better position for IronSide.
IronSide pulls Nasmfus in close to his closed guard and prevents Nasmfus from doing any damage or advancing position.

Nasmfus moves into the clinch.

IronSide is pressed up against the cage. Nasmfus has hold of a leg and is looking to drag IronSide down to the mat. IronSide avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Nasmfus jumps guard and drags IronSide to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Nasmfus is pulling down on IronSide's head. It's preventing any offense from IronSide, at least for the moment.

IronSide is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Nasmfus is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

IronSide takes a little break here. Nasmfus wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

IronSide definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Nasmfus seems a little lost for a moment, as IronSide dominates the positioning.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
IronSide stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and IronSide wants it to stay on the feet.
IronSide tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nasmfus swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Nasmfus moves in looking to clinch but IronSide pushes him off.

It looked like IronSide wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
