Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sunza Masto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trey Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sunza Masto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trey Jones! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Steve Montenegro and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Masto drives through and clinches with Jones against the cage.
Jones tries to work over Masto's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Jones tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Masto breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Trey Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones rushes Masto and presses him up against the cage. Jones lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Sunza Masto dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Masto displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab. Jones darts in trying to clinch and Masto holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A low kick from Jones misses and Masto counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Masto forces Jones back against the cage and clinches. Jones on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Jones has one foot on Masto's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Masto wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jones has him pressed against the cage. Jones blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Sunza Masto is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sunza Masto is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones throws a right and a left that both miss.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sunza Masto. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Masto, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
