Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bessarion Alexius (ranked 3273 p4p, 2592 weight class) and Uniesky Santaban (ranked 419 p4p, 355 weight class). Alexius comes to the cage accompanied by A Country Boy Can Survive. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 23 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bessarion Alexius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Uniesky Santaban!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexius shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Santaban pinned against the cage. Santaban gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Alexius displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Santaban throws out the jab.
Alexius dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Santaban tries to clinch up.
Alexius shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Alexius tries to pass to full mount but Santaban defends it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Santaban kicks off Alexius and gets to his feet.
No luck for Alexius with that takedown attempt.
Santaban throws out a counter right but Alexius avoids it with no problem.

Santaban cracks Alexius with an open hand slap.
Alexius misses with a combination
letting Santaban counter with a right hand.
Alexius avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Santaban throws a nice inside leg kick.
Santaban takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Alexius tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Alexius takes a swing at Santaban's ribcage but misses.
Santaban lands with a shot to the body.
Alexius pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Santaban swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Alexius misses with a head kick.
Alexius on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Alexius lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Santaban jabbing away but nothing is landing.
An attempted straight right counter from Alexius misses the target.
Santaban is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Alexius looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Alexius bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Santaban's head backwards.
Alexius gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Santaban counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bessarion Alexius. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Santaban throws a body punch but Alexius moves out of range.
Bessarion Alexius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alexius throws a combination that misses
letting Santaban counter with a right hand.
Santaban is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Alexius throws a hook but Santaban avoids it easily.
Alexius misses with a right hand
and Santaban counters with a stiff right hand.
Santaban cracks Alexius with a good jab.
Alexius is rocked!

Alexius throws a lazy head kick
and Santaban rattles Alexius with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Alexius tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Santaban dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Alexius stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Uniesky Santaban!
A very excited looking Uniesky Santaban made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
The defeated Bessarion Alexius had this to say: 'Oh moth*****r, not again!'.
