Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Harold Kerzner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bjorn Akerfeldt!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Kerzner.
Akerfeldt shoots in for a takedown but Kerzner shows good takedown defense.
A little feinted left hand from Kerzner on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Akerfeldt has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Kerzner throws an overhand right that lands on Akerfeldt's shoulder, as Akerfeldt tries to avoid the shot.
Kerzner tries to bum rush Akerfeldt with a series of wild strikes but Akerfeldt uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Akerfeldt shoots and misses
and Kerzner counters with a straight right hand.
Akerfeldt avoids a punch combination nicely.
Akerfeldt will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Harold Kerzner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bjorn Akerfeldt.
Akerfeldt shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Akerfeldt on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kerzner is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Kerzner lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Akerfeldt at a distance.

Akerfeldt fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kerzner, pushing him back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kerzner wants a takedown but no success here.
Kerzner tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Akerfeldt smiles and moves away.
Akerfeldt waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kerzner.

Akerfeldt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Akerfeldt clinches up against the cage.
Kerzner has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Akerfeldt avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
I was talking to Kerzner's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Akerfeldt working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Kerzner lands a takedown into guard.

Kerzner is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Akerfeldt has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Kerzner is looking to defend but Akerfeldt has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Kerzner! Akerfeldt pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Kerzner taps out and this one is all over!
