Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Angelo Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximus Meridius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Angelo Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maximus Meridius! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meridius shoots in and drives through. Anderson sprawls well. Meridius shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Anderson but Anderson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Meridius avoids a kick to the body.
Meridius closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Meridius tries to advance to mount but Anderson denies him. Anderson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Anderson tries to get out of the position. Meridius tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Meridius has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Meridius working away. Anderson is trying to buck Meridius off. Anderson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Anderson struggling a bit here. Anderson is pushing Meridius's head away, looking to escape. Meridius manages to hold on to the position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meridius tries for a kimura but Anderson is defending well. Meridius working away. Anderson managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Meridius.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Good standup being displayed there by Anderson as he connects with a hook. Meridius fails with a takedown attempt. Angelo Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maximus Meridius. Meridius shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Anderson as he avoids it easily. Meridius looks gassed! Thud! ouch! good body kick from Anderson - that will leave a mark!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Anderson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Meridius pinned against the cage. Meridius gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Anderson misses with a takedown attempt - Meridius sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Anderson fails with the takedown so Meridius counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Meridius thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Anderson is adopting a defensive guard. Meridius wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving. Meridius missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Meridius is looking to stand up but Anderson won't let him. Anderson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Meridius is one step ahead there. Meridius drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Meridius jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Anderson controlling the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Anderson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Anderson showed some decent athleticism there. Meridius is trying to maintain the position but Anderson is very close to passing his half guard. Meridius looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Meridius is looking to improve his position.
Anderson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Anderson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Meridius on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Anderson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Meridius does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Meridius slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Anderson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Angelo Anderson dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Meridius takes a body punch but keeps moving. Anderson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Meridius shoots in and drives through. Anderson sprawls well. Meridius shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Anderson counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Anderson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Anderson. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Anderson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Meridius circles away. Anderson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Meridius throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Anderson's waist but Anderson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Meridius off to one side. Angelo Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maximus Meridius. Anderson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Meridius counters with a shoot takedown. Anderson fights it but they end up in guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Meridius trying to control the position from guard on top but Anderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Meridius would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Anderson pulls Meridius in close to his closed guard and prevents Meridius from doing any damage or advancing position. Meridius trying to control but Anderson is working from the bottom. Meridius throws a big right hand that misses. Meridius trying to control but Anderson is working from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Anderson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Meridius counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Meridius is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson actively working from the bottom here. Meridius postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Anderson to stand up. Meridius feints and as Anderson raises his hands in defense, Meridius changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Meridius stands and throws Anderson's legs to the side, diving into side control. Meridius scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Anderson to see if he's OK. Meridius lands some shots froms side control. I wouldn't like to be where Anderson is right now. Meridius working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Meridius thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson struggling a bit here. Anderson is trying to get back to half guard. The strikes coming from Meridius are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Meridius decides to stand back up. Anderson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Meridius makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Anderson fails to land with a series of punches.
Meridius shoots in and drives through. Anderson sprawls well. Angelo Anderson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Meridius decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Meridius is working for a submission of some sort.

Meridius lands a nice shot to the head. Anderson in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Anderson wants to hold on but Meridius pushes him away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Anderson is looking to improve his position but Meridius isn't that keen on the idea. Meridius landing strikes from the mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Maximus Meridius will probably get the nod - 10:9. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Meridius scores a takedown into full mount! Anderson is looking to improve his position but Meridius isn't that keen on the idea. Meridius landing strikes, looking to finish! Anderson tries to hold on but Meridius postures up. Meridius working for a guillotine from mount but Anderson is in no mood to give up. Meridius trying to control but he's not successful this time. Meridius throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Anderson because Meridius loaded up on that one.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Anderson tries to lock up and control but Meridius gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Meridius has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Meridius looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Anderson tries to hold on but Meridius pushes him away. Anderson tries to buck Meridius off but he can't manage it. Anderson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Anderson flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Meridius with a couple of short strikes. Anderson tries to reverse the position but Meridius maintains control. Meridius looking to control but Anderson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Meridius is in the full mount, landing strikes. Meridius is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Anderson is surviving well by controlling Meridius's body position as best he can. Meridius working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Anderson can't escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Meridius lands a heavy elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anderson tries to reverse the position but Meridius maintains control. Meridius looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Anderson wants to control but Meridius is having none of it. Anderson is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Meridius sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Anderson defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Meridius. Meridius misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Meridius working for a submission but Anderson is keeping him at bay. Anderson holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Meridius tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Meridius tries to control but Anderson wriggling away.
And that's the end of the fight! Maximus Meridius comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Meridius has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
