PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between William Spud (ranked 115 p4p, 313 weight class) and Edward Conan (ranked 14 p4p, 46 weight class). Spud comes to the cage accompanied by Havana. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Spud!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edward Conan!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Conan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Spud's guard.
Conan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Spud has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Conan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Spud swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Conan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Conan tries to pull guard but Spud holds him up against the cage and eventually Conan drops back down to his feet.

Conan ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Conan no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
