Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Rogan (ranked 3665 p4p, 2651 weight class) and Kraisee Watakeekul (ranked 410 p4p, 317 weight class). Watakeekul is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Buakaw Por Pramuk. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Carlos Rogan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kraisee Watakeekul! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Watakeekul to the mat! Watakeekul manages to get full guard. Watakeekul wants to stand but Rogan is controlling the position. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rogan's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Rogan passes Watakeekul's left leg - he's now in half guard. Rogan wants to pass the guard but Watakeekul is defending well. Watakeekul wants to get back to his feet.
Rogan moves nicely into side control. Rogan landing strikes. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rogan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rogan is working Watakeekul over with some ground and pound from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Watakeekul being controlled for a moment. Watakeekul is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Rogan is controlling him well. Rogan scoring with punches from side control. Watakeekul sneaks out the side door and pushes Rogan away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Nice straight punches there by Watakeekul. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Watakeekul. Watakeekul darts in trying to clinch and Rogan counters with a single leg into guard. Watakeekul didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rogan passes Watakeekul's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Watakeekul really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rogan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rogan is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Watakeekul! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rogan lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogan raining down shots from the mount! Rogan controlling from the full mount. Watakeekul trying desperately to get to his feet.

Rogan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Rogan landing shots from mount. Rogan postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Watakeekul looks a forlorn figure.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rogan pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Rogan with the ground and pound from mount. Rogan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Watakeekul wants to get back to his feet.
