Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Bear (ranked 3130 p4p, 2844 weight class) and John Dio (ranked 340 p4p, 315 weight class). John Dio will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Teddy Bear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dio digs a good hook to Bear's body.
Bear on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Dio misses with a double jab
and Bear counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Dio clinches.

Bear pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sloppy strikes from Bear. Those never looked like landing.

Oooooh!!! Dio has knocked Bear down with a huge combo! Dio steps away and waves a wobbly Bear back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Dio has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Dio throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bear.
Oh Bear is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bear throws a right and a left that Dio avoids nicely.

Bear throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Bear counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Bear takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Bear keeps the fight on the outside.
It looked like Bear was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Bear gets caught napping as Dio dives in and scores a takedown. Bear manages to retain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dio won't allow Bear to sweep him here.

Dio has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Dio is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bear is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bear has escaped and now he's on top!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dio wants to stand up but Bear is controlling him.
Dio seems keen to control Bear's posture.
Bear won't allow Dio to sweep him here.
Dio not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dio is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bear decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dio, up you get!
Nice defenses there by Dio.
A little jabbing left from Dio on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Bear tries to move into range but Dio moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Dio has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Horrible takedown attempt by Bear or perhaps it was just good defense by Dio, which made it look bad.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bear swings for the body but Dio moves out of range.

Bear's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Dio cracks Bear with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Dio immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Bear is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Dio!

After winning the bout, John Dio thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
