PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Haywood Badger (ranked 9039 p4p, 7114 weight class) and Brij Khali (ranked 645 p4p, 674 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Brij Khali was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badger's jab looks to have found its range, popping Khali under the eye.
Badger moves into range and connects with a jab.
Badger dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Badger lands with a kick to the ribs.
Khali shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Badger as he jumps to the side.
Badger lands with a nice body punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Badger fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Badger thuds his shin into the meat of Khali's side.
Badger stuns Khali with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Khali looks winded!

Khali takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Badger thumps Khali with a low kick.
Badger bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Badger scores with a jab.
Badger lands with a nice body punch.
A left lands for Badger.
Badger bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Khali's head.
Badger fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Khali.

Badger dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Khali. That did some damage!
Badger digs a good hook to Khali's body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Badger bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Khali gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Khali needs to keep his hands up - Badger had a free shot at his head there.
It looks like Badger has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Badger fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Khali.

Donk. Badger catches Khali right on the button with a cross.
Khali tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Badger connects with a body shot that sends Khali's belly button to the back.

Badger is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Khali shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Badger throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
A jab lands there for Badger.
Badger cracks Khali with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Badger lunges at Khali with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Khali's hand.
Haywood Badger is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Badger punishes Khali's body with a nice straight punch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Badger uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Khali has time to react.
Badger smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Haywood Badger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Badger scores with the left hand. Khali knows he should have avoided that one.

Khali is rocked!
Khali sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

The crowd cheers as Badger lands an impressive looking overhand right. Khali doesn't seem phased though.

Khali drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Badger thuds his right hand into Khali's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Badger works the jab nicely.
That kick from Badger tenderised Khali's leg. Khali is trying to keep his angry face on.
Badger connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Khali momentarily.
Khali is still on wobbly legs! Can Badger finish him?
