Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Simon Kolling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Foto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Simon Kolling has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Kolling!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Foto!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Alyssa Summers and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kolling swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Foto shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Foto is controlling the pace.
Foto wants to take a breather but Kolling is having none of it.
Kolling keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Foto lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Foto sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kolling defending well though.
Foto looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kolling with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Kolling is looking to control Foto's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kolling avoid being mounted?

Foto wants to work for an arm triangle but Kolling is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Foto is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kolling is just riding it out for now. Foto eventually gives up the hold.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kolling thuds his right hand into Foto's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Kolling is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kolling's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Kolling is in a horrible position here. Foto smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Kolling gets caught flat footed, as Foto shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Foto closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Foto goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kolling has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Foto but great work by Kolling.
